The Weight of Doing Right

Doing right has a weight. Every choice costs something. This book is about paying the price on purpose — and carrying it like it means something.

Morals. Compassion. Clear thinking. For the streets, and for anybody trying to stand on what is right when nobody is clapping.

“Nobody claps for integrity. Choose it anyway.”

Mamba Mentality, Clutch Performance, and the True Measure of Greatness

A celebration of Kobe Bryant — the Mamba Mentality, the clutch performances, and a lifetime spent as a true student of the game, learning from everyone who came before him and leaving the lessons behind for everyone after.

This is the case for Kobe’s place in the game’s history, made the way he made his own: with the work shown.

Streets Don’t Love Us

Leroy Freeman Jr. is fourteen when the streets of Riverton start calling his name — and his best friend Marquis is the one holding the door open. Caught between the life pulling at him and the future still in reach, Leroy has to learn the book’s one hard rule the way too many boys learn it: by living it.

A novel about the years from fourteen to nineteen, written for young readers — and just as much for the parents raising them.

If you’ve ever felt like the world chose your path for you, you must read this.

“We all have a choice.”

Coming soon in paperback and Kindle.

Nothing Promised But This Skin

Social Media: A Gift or a Curse?

Likes and shares where moral values used to live. Dating turned into a transaction. The highlight lie everybody is measuring their real life against. This book looks at what the screen is doing to us, and closes with the correction: what we owe each other when the phone is put down.

The title comes from a saying of the author’s grandfather, reworked for a new era: out here, nothing is promised but this skin.

Coming soon — paperback first, ebook to follow.

“Nobody claps for integrity. Choose it anyway.”

About the House

10/21 Publishing

10/21 Publishing is an independent publishing house based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It exists for one reason: to put out books that say something real, in plain language anybody can pick up and understand.

The house leads with paperback first on new releases — a real book in the reader’s hands before anything else — with ebooks and audio editions following as each title finds its audience.

“First off — thank you. If you’re reading this, you took time out of your day for my words, and I don’t take that lightly.”

I’m Rasul Bivins, the author behind every book in this catalog. I write about the choices that shape a life — on the street, and on the screen in your pocket — because I’ve watched those choices up close, in my own life.

More books are coming. That’s kind of the point. Thank you for being here at the start of it.

For my daughter.

Four months was all the time we got — and it changed the whole direction of my life. What losing you taught me is in every book this house puts out: do right, and carry the weight.

This house is yours as much as it is mine.
